Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC units.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and industry standards.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete service calls and projects efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate findings and recommendations to clients and supervisors.
- Document work performed and report on system conditions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience in a similar role
- 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic license (asset)
- Union-affiliated technicians are welcome to apply (HVAC Journeyman)
- Valid G1/G2/G3 license (required)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments, including rooftops and confined spaces
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
