POSITION: CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate subcontractors activities
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
  • Hire and supervise activities of subcontractors
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control
  • Plan and manage budgets
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
  • Develop and implement quality control programs
  • Develop risk management plans

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of work experience in Project Management (preferred)
  • Experience supporting commercial HVAC, BAS, energy management, and preventative maintenance projects from planning through completion.
  • Skilled in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation.
  • Experience supporting estimating, bidding, proposals, scheduling, and project coordination.
  • Knowledge of commercial building systems, HVAC service, maintenance, and construction coordination.
  • Proficient in SAGE 300 CRE, TechTool, Fleet Complete Hub, Google Drive, and Excel for project tracking, documentation, invoicing, and reporting (an asset)
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills with experience coordinating technicians, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

POSITION: SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex HVAC, mechanical, and building systems projects
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources from kickoff to close-out
  • Coordinate internal CBS teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
  • Oversee installation of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, BAS, piping, and related systems
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and safety requirements
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
  • Manage change orders, contract administration, and cost control
  • Maintain strong client relationships and represent CBS in meetings
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, commissioning plans, and turnover documentation
  • Support quality assurance and commissioning activities
  • Mentor Project Managers and support continuous improvement within the team

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 10+ years of project management experience in mechanical/HVAC construction, with a focus on commercial and high-rise buildings
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, BAS, and mechanical installations
  • Trade background in HVAC, plumbing, or pipefitting considered an asset

POSITION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and business presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (operations, service, finance, etc.) to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop strategies to achieve sales targets and company growth objectives.
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to promote the company’s services.
  • Track, report, and analyze business development activities and market trends.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements in coordination with management.
  • Provide feedback to improve marketing materials, service offerings, and client experience.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Strong understanding of the construction, mechanical, or HVAC industry is an asset
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Results-driven with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license required

POSITION: LICENCED PLUMBER (306A)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
  • Schedule personnel, tools and equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
  • Respond to emergency plumbing calls as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid 306A Licensed Plumber (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experienced as a Plumber.
  • Proven experience as a plumber or in a similar role (preferred)
  • UA Local 787 union members are welcome to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, power tools, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical specifications
  • Valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record (preferred)
  • Experience with renovation and remodeling projects is an asset
  • Welding experience and the ability to fabricate and install piping systems are considered strong assets
